Did you know there is a proven effective way to detect cancer early at stages 0 & 1?
Dogs are man's best friend and cancer is man's worst enemy.
Over the millennia, canines have evolved alongside humans, aiding us to overcome obstacles in an ever-increasing number of ways. Now, their powerful sense of smell stands to help us defeat the deadliest disease of our time: cancer.
Filmmaker Adriana LaCorte takes us on a journey through the past, present, and future of this ground-breaking new discovery and tries to determine just what it could mean for man and man's best friend.
Executive Produced by Pina De Rosa

Federally funded studies and subsequent published reports in medical journals have proven that dogs have the ability to detect (sniff) cancer in people at an accuracy rate of 99% in!! (**published in the Journal of Integrated Cancer Therapies)

These amazing dogs are trained to detect cancer in humans at its earliest stages (stage 0 & stage 1), making it an effective means of identifying and treating cancer before it is life threatening (and therefore operable, minus all the chemo and such needed when the cancer is detected at a later stage).
This rate of detection is higher than any present day cancer-detection diagnostic medical equipment (e.g. for breast cancer, the current rate is 40%; for lung cancer, there is no detection/diagnostic early screening available to date). Dogs have the ability to detect cancer much earlier than modern day machines are able, thus allowing preventative measures to be applied earlier in a patient’s life. Canine Scent Detection, is a proven method to create and establish trained dogs to detect cancer early in people, allowing them to take the necessary immediate steps that ultimately saves lives. |
