As far back as I can remember, I’ve always loved connecting people with other people who can help, support and elevate them.

It is with that specific intention in mind that every year now, my company, Gratitude International, hosts the Gratitude Summit & Awards: Women Honoring Women

The event is for women to be honored and celebrated! I let the women know my intention for this event is:


"to highlight you, because you are significant and you make a difference

to pause from the go-go-go of life and... 22000 breaths/day - this is about you taking those breaths for you today!

to celebrate you - what ever you celebrate you attract! (what we resent we repel)

to connect you with other women and grow deeply from that

Whether you've coached with me or not, whether I've had the pleasure of knowing you over a decade or just in the last few days, what I know about you is that you are key element to peace in our world ~ you may each go at it differently; some of you show your light through your mom blog, some of you through putting amazing events on, your TV shows, or selling your product or service... whether you are aware of it or not, each of you is a crucial aspect to building an even better world, and today is about you celebrating your light. I celebrate your courage.

The Gratitude Summit is about supporting women, allowing them to grow from wherever they are, to facilitating getting to their next level. The theme is •Learn •Grow •Support •Celebrate.”

Originally this was inspired by wanting a party/event to connect all the amazing women in my life, and to do that sometime after the Oscars, as a wrap up to award season.

Back in April of 2006 I burned out - it was brutal. It was also when I officially began the shift from burn-out to working 2-3 days week... from working hard to working smart.


We set our intention for the day; we thank and honor the women who have passed on, our mothers, sisters, our best friends, our mentors; we hear about and contribute to our passion projects; we have some amazing sponsors today, thanking especially Galpin, Arbonne, Gnu Bars, Morandell Imports, Rock Our World & Whole Foods. It truly is a celebration!

My vision for the event over the next few years is to grow, empower and celebrate even more women. Because we do this in a peaceful garden setting, we will need a bigger garden...

Oh, and we wear all white! …I want women to feel even more united, by all wearing the same color - and as someone put it, "you all look like angels in paradise"


Next year's date for the Third Annual Gratitude Summit & Awards: Women Honoring Women is MARCH 8th, 2015 - aka International Woman Day.
