This extraordinary organization trains dogs to detect cancer in humans at its earliest stages (stage 0 & stage 1), making it an effective means of identifying and treating cancer before it is life threatening (and therefore operable, minus all the chemo and such needed when the cancer is detected at a later stage). Published reports have proven that dogs have the ability to detect (sniff) cancer in people at an accuracy rate of 98%!!

This rate of detection is higher than any present day cancer-detection diagnostic medical equipment (e.g. for breast cancer, the current rate is 40%; for lung cancer, there is no detection/diagnostic available to date). Dogs have the ability to detect cancer much earlier than modern day machines are able, thus allowing preventative measures to be applied earlier in a patient’s life.
